Makayla
I'm pretty good. It's a beautiful day. I'm happy to be sitting here with you.
00;00;31;14 - 00;00;36;05
Joe
Yeah, it is a beautiful day. And things are so much better when the weather is nice here in Portland. Don't you think?
00;00;36;05 - 00;00;37;26
Makayla
Oh, absolutely. Yeah.
00;00;38;03 - 00;00;42;27
Joe
Portland's top five in the U.S., I think when the weather's working for us.
00;00;42;29 - 00;00;44;08
Makayla
Especially in the summer. Yeah.
00;00;44;14 - 00;00;48;12
Joe
Yeah. Have you been downtown at all? Everything's all bloomed down by the waterfront.
00;00;48;12 - 00;00;55;12
Makayla
It's gorgeous. I didn't make it down when the cherry blossoms were in full bloom, but I really wanted to. The pictures were beautiful, absolutely gorgeous.
00;00;55;12 - 00;00;57;28
Joe
The Rose Garden is blooming right now.
00;00;58;00 - 00;00;59;07
Makayla
Oh, we should get down there.
00;00;59;08 - 00;01;02;12
Joe
Good Golly, that's great. I'd love to do a show down there.
00;01;02;14 - 00;01;03;22
Makayla
Let's do.
00;01;03;25 - 00;01;04;18
Joe
Yeah.
00;01;04;20 - 00;01;06;06
Makayla
We'll have to. Not sure how that would fly.
00;01;06;10 - 00;01;34;25
Joe
Right, Exactly. So today's topic, I think, is a good one. I'm super excited about this. It's the top five destinations where people are moving to from Portland. So right now there's a lot of different things in the news about what's going on in Portland and people are always moving into and out of Portland. But right now there seems to be a perception and part of it, I think, is true, that people are moving out of Portland in a larger amount than they have in the past.
00;01;34;25 - 00;01;38;25
Joe
And so I thought we'd highlight where the places that they're going to.
00;01;38;27 - 00;01;42;11
Makayla
I love that. I think you've done some good research on that. So just picking at the notes that.
00;01;42;12 - 00;01;49;10
Joe
I found some really good websites, so and this information is per the United States government, they're statistics.
00;01;49;12 - 00;01;50;02
Makayla
Site your source.
00;01;50;04 - 00;02;10;19
Joe
I'm citing my source and the Council for Community and Economic Research, which does a great job with all of that information. So but I have to ask you off the top, if you were retiring right now, you had your nest egg all built up and you were like, I am done with this silly podcast and this Joe Reitzug fella.
00;02;10;19 - 00;02;12;22
Joe
Where would you go?
00;02;12;23 - 00;02;19;25
Makayla
Honestly, I don't know if it's because I just went there and I fell in love with it. But I loved Charleston, South Carolina. I think that's where I would go.
00;02;19;26 - 00;02;21;15
Joe
You had such a good trip there, didn't you?
00;02;21;15 - 00;02;29;14
Makayla
I did. I've never been to a place in the United States where I was fully like, I can move here in a heartbeat. Nice. What about you? I have to share.
00;02;29;16 - 00;02;53;14
Joe
Wow. Yeah, I was just down in Palm Desert, California, and California has its pros and cons. Man, that's easy living down there. Yeah, I was down there early spring when it was 80 degrees and perfect and all that, and it was poopy up here. So that may have affected it. But I'd love to get to South Carolina. And interestingly enough, they are one of the top five destinations out of Portland.
00;02;53;14 - 00;02;54;25
Makayla
Really? Yeah, we're going to.
00;02;54;25 - 00;03;18;15
Joe
Talk about them. So let's before we get into that, I want to just remind people, there are a lot of people moving out of Portland, but Portland is still one of the top destinations in the United States. And I think a lot of people find it very interesting that in 2022, Portland was the number two inbound move location in the United States, and that was per the United Van Line study.
00;03;18;15 - 00;03;24;21
Joe
You know, Van Lines does a study every year of these things, very well-respected and Portland was number two. Isn't that amazing?
00;03;24;24 - 00;03;29;26
Makayla
It is amazing. I think we should be screaming this from the rooftops. And that was in 2022. Right?
00;03;29;27 - 00;03;31;14
Joe
So that was in 2022.
00;03;31;14 - 00;03;35;06
Makayla
pandemic craziness. We are debunking myths here.
00;03;35;07 - 00;03;57;01
Joe
People might be interested to know, well, where are they moving to when they come in to the area? And the information that I found per the United States government and the city of Portland, Portland Metro was the number one location. Hillsboro. Crazy, huh? Yeah. Hillsboro, Bethany, Northwest Portland, Lake Oswego, Tualatin, Sherwood and outside of Clackamas County. So like, Boring.
00;03;57;04 - 00;04;16;03
Joe
Those type of areas are heading out there quite a bit. So that's where people are going to. And another thing that I think you guys will find interesting is it's the young millennials moving to Portland, right? A higher percentage of younger millennials are moving to Portland than any other city in the United States right now.
00;04;16;04 - 00;04;16;26
Makayla
Interesting.
00;04;16;26 - 00;04;22;28
Joe
Yeah, which is crazy because 55% of the people moving out of Portland are 55 and older.
00;04;22;28 - 00;04;24;09
Makayla
I think they're just over the weather.
00;04;24;10 - 00;04;42;25
Joe
I think a lot of people have got their retirement sitting there and they're like, Well, I could retire here or a lot of people have choices now. And I think with the pandemic and a lot of the stay at home work, people are realizing that they have more choices than before. And a lot of people always had plans to retire outside Portland.
00;04;42;25 - 00;04;55;01
Joe
But I think that's exponentially grown now that the mindset is more of, well, what's possible, that makes sense. Yeah. So where did they move from? San Diego. Los Angeles, Chicago, and surprisingly, Albuquerque.
00;04;55;04 - 00;04;56;23
Makayla
Oh, that is very specific.
00;04;56;29 - 00;04;59;04
Joe
Yeah, very specific. Interesting stuff.
00;04;59;06 - 00;05;02;01
Makayla
I would love to meet someone from Albuquerque who's now in Portland.
00;05;02;03 - 00;05;04;05
Joe
Chances are you will somewhat shortly here.
00;05;04;07 - 00;05;07;28
Makayla
Okay, let's get into it. Joe, what are the top five destinations?
00;05;08;01 - 00;05;20;26
Joe
So I'm going to start right at the top. Let's start with number one. No counting down The number one place where Portland Metro people are moving to right now is Phoenix, Arizona. Oh, not really a shocker, I don't think.
00;05;21;03 - 00;05;25;00
Makayla
No, I think people who are moving for weather, that's obvious choice.
00;05;25;03 - 00;05;42;08
Joe
Yeah. And the way we're going to break this down, we're going to talk about the reasons why people move there, the cost of living, median home price, median home price and entertainment cost or transportation. One of the other costs that's kind of interesting compared to south of Phoenix, I think when you talk about Phoenix, people are like warm weather.
00;05;42;08 - 00;06;01;11
Joe
But the thing that they don't get credit for as much as is the jobs and strong local economy, their economy is super strong, Right. Okay. A lot of jobs being created down there. A lot of well, good paying jobs. So that's what's driving people there. The thing that I would have a concern about moving to Phenix Water. Yeah, they've got some water issues there.
00;06;01;11 - 00;06;03;13
Makayla
That's again, a good one to think about.
00;06;03;13 - 00;06;05;07
Joe
And they are in the desert.
00;06;05;10 - 00;06;11;14
Makayla
That is true. I was going to say, I do not think I could live there just because of the heat. I'm just not a hot weather.
00;06;11;14 - 00;06;29;29
Joe
110 plus really is a turnoff to me. Yeah, that's almost like it being thunderstorms and raining outside here in Portland. You just can't go outside. That's true. If you do, you're going to pay the price. That's true. You're going to get wet either way, 110 or a thunderstorm, something's happening. So but the cost of living there is 18% lower than Portland.
00;06;29;29 - 00;06;45;08
Joe
So if if you were making $100,000 pretax income, you could live at the same quality of life that you do here in Portland on $100,000, making only $82,000 in Phoenix, $18,000 extra dollars off of that $100,000. That's a lot of money.
00;06;45;10 - 00;06;48;04
Makayla
What would you do with $18,000 extra dollars?
00;06;48;06 - 00;06;50;12
Joe
If I was your age, I'd invest.
00;06;50;14 - 00;06;52;01
Makayla
Okay, so like a fun thing.
00;06;52;01 - 00;06;54;12
Joe
I'd invest.
00;06;54;14 - 00;06;55;17
Makayla
Well, I would buy a boat.
00;06;55;17 - 00;07;02;21
Joe
So it's not going to be very much of a boat for $18,000.
00;07;02;24 - 00;07;04;03
Makayla
I'll make it down there.
00;07;04;05 - 00;07;19;27
Joe
Okay. You make a down payment on the boat and then make payments on a boat? Yeah, I get that. I get that. If I had $18,000 extra right now and, jeez, we're going to go down that rabbit hole our way. I don't know. Sure, I would go on a trip with the family. I'm a huge fan of Maui.
00;07;19;27 - 00;07;22;29
Joe
What can I say right there? They just put us there. I did.
00;07;23;01 - 00;07;25;03
Makayla
Oh, we just booked Maui.
00;07;25;06 - 00;07;28;01
Joe
You did not?
00;07;28;03 - 00;07;32;19
Makayla
Yesterday. I mean, they show cloud nine. Yeah, This is sales now.
00;07;32;21 - 00;07;34;09
Joe
Oh, for when? February.
00;07;34;09 - 00;07;42;09
Makayla
Yeah. My cousin's getting married and we were lucky enough to have someone let us use their timeshare there I'm so excited.
00;07;42;09 - 00;07;45;20
Joe
This thing has taken a real turn.
00;07;47;04 - 00;08;19;04
Joe
Back to the podcast about the top five destinations where people are moving to from Portland and not Makayla's Great trip to Maui. Cost of living 18% lower in Phoenix. Medium median home price. Median home price is different than average home price. The median home prices. If you took all the home sales that happened in Phoenix over the last year and picked the exact middle one, that's the median as opposed to the average with which factors in all of the multimillion dollar sales with all of the lower sales.
00;08;19;04 - 00;08;38;00
Joe
And depending on which of more of there is, then you get a number median tells you exactly where the middle of the the sales are at. So that's why I like to use it. So median home price sale in Phoenix was $459,000 which Wow. Portland right now it's about $659k, $658k. Something like that.
00;08;39;02 - 00;08;41;00
Joe
It's continuing to go up, people.
00;08;41;04 - 00;08;41;25
Makayla
That's interesting.
00;08;41;25 - 00;08;52;00
Joe
Yeah, very interesting. Almost $200,000 less than Portland. So housing is definitely more affordable. Their entertainment costs 19% lower. I thought that was kind of interesting.
00;08;52;02 - 00;08;53;23
Makayla
You know, what do you think that is like?
00;08;53;27 - 00;08;57;26
Joe
It's just a larger metropolitan. There's more stuff to do, it's more competitive and.
00;08;57;28 - 00;08;58;18
Makayla
Okay, that would be.
00;08;58;18 - 00;08;59;29
Joe
My guess. Yeah. Yeah.
00;09;00;06 - 00;09;03;13
Makayla
What's number two?
00;09;03;16 - 00;09;08;11
Joe
So South Carolina weather. Weather is the number one thing that came up when I search this.
00;09;08;13 - 00;09;09;15
Makayla
Yeah, it's gorgeous.
00;09;09;15 - 00;09;18;13
Joe
Their cost of living is low food and family. It's food and family friendly. There's not much not to love besides maybe an occasional hurricane or something.
00;09;18;17 - 00;09;25;15
Makayla
Right? When we are at the property that was closer to the ocean or no, the swamp, I guess, right? Yeah. They're all on stilts.
00;09;25;15 - 00;09;26;18
Joe
Yeah. So they don't get flooded.
00;09;26;18 - 00;09;34;09
Makayla
Yeah, I heard. It was interesting. The home designs were beautiful, but it was interesting to see. Oh, we have to climb upstairs.
00;09;34;15 - 00;09;57;21
Joe
That's really cool. The cost of living. So Phoenix was 18%. Here's what people are really loving about South Carolina. 29% lower cost of living than Portland. So if we're making $100,000 here in Portland, you could get the same quality life for $71,000 in South Carolina. And this is based off of Greenville, South Carolina, which is a growing metro.
00;09;57;21 - 00;10;14;10
Joe
We've actually had clients this year move to Greenville. We have you have median home price is 57% lower, 57% lower. So $281,000 is the median home price. super affordable, $370 K less than Portland.
00;10;14;10 - 00;10;16;00
Makayla
Wow. That could be rich there.
00;10;16;02 - 00;10;22;20
Joe
Yeah. So when you're talking about that extra 18,000 right Ah 19,000 in this this instance rental home.
00;10;22;23 - 00;10;23;11
Makayla
Ding, ding.
00;10;23;11 - 00;10;36;16
Joe
Ding ding, ding. Transportation cost was the other cost of living item that jumped out to me, which 26% lower gallon of gas is under $2.90 right now back there compared to four something here.
00;10;36;18 - 00;10;45;27
Makayla
I did notice that gas was much cheaper there and there are way less electric vehicles on the road, way less Teslas. There's something with that there that I don't remember.
00;10;45;27 - 00;10;49;29
Joe
But BMW and Mercedes have huge plants in South Carolina.
00;10;50;00 - 00;10;50;15
Makayla
Okay.
00;10;50;15 - 00;10;52;04
Joe
I don't know if that has anything to do with.
00;10;52;04 - 00;10;55;23
Makayla
I thought it was something with taxes and I don't remember whatever.
00;10;56;00 - 00;11;09;07
Joe
It is, the South as well. For all of you who haven't been to the south, it's a different world down there in a good way, in a bad way. A lot of good, a lot of bad most pretty much like anything in life. Yeah, right. I do love myself. Some southern living.
00;11;09;07 - 00;11;10;22
Makayla
Now. Oh, it's wonderful.
00;11;10;22 - 00;11;12;26
Joe
I could be 400 lbs in a year
00;11;12;26 - 00;11;16;23
Makayla
400 lbs on your screened in porch.
00;11;16;23 - 00;11;26;21
Joe
So if I was living in New Orleans, which if you haven't visited New Orleans, let's go, because New Orleans is fantastic. The food down there, its riches all get out. But oh.
00;11;26;21 - 00;11;27;24
Makayla
Man.
00;11;27;27 - 00;11;29;14
Joe
So good. All right.
00;11;29;14 - 00;11;30;10
Makayla
Number three.
00;11;30;17 - 00;11;36;26
Joe
Number three, something a little bit closer here in the Pacific Northwest. Boise, Idaho. Boise, Idaho.
00;11;36;26 - 00;11;38;16
Makayla
Yes. Not surprise me.
00;11;38;16 - 00;11;59;25
Joe
Lots of people looking into Idaho and trying to figure out if that fits for what they're doing. Once again, weather, I think, is something you get the seasons over there, you get the snow, but it's very defined. There's a winter, spring, summer and fall, which is kind of nice. I think a lot of people like that. Outdoor activities are big in Idaho and Boise, especially.
00;11;59;27 - 00;12;04;08
Joe
Boise itself has one of the lowest crime rates in the United States.
00;12;04;08 - 00;12;05;27
Makayla
Wow. Yeah, I did not know that.
00;12;06;00 - 00;12;29;24
Joe
Yeah, that's another big poll cost of living 16% lower. Not as much as Phoenix or South Carolina, but 16% lower. So that's the equivalent of living off of 83,000. And in Boise, median home price, though, is where they really have it going, 27% lower. So that's 524,000. So about $130,000 less than Portland. Now that's gaining speed right now.
00;12;29;24 - 00;12;50;10
Joe
I have to say that it used to be the median sale price in Boise and the surrounding area up there because I spent some time up there. It used to be below $400,000 not too long ago. So they're gaining speed. More and more people moving. They're driving that housing cost up, which is kind of interesting. The other thing is food cost 12% lower.
00;12;50;12 - 00;12;52;10
Makayla
You know, I don't have to know. It's okay.
00;12;52;13 - 00;12;53;19
Joe
It's okay. I don't know.
00;12;53;21 - 00;12;58;05
Makayla
I did notice I just drove through Boise. I drove to Boise. There was a ton of new construction.
00;12;58;06 - 00;13;01;24
Joe
Yeah. So they got land, they got land, and they're willing to build on it.
00;13;01;28 - 00;13;04;11
Makayla
Yeah. Okay, tell us number four, Joe.
00;13;04;11 - 00;13;18;10
Joe
Number four is a favorite of mine. I have to tell you, I've visited this place recently and recently. I mean, within the past three or four months, and Nashville, the Nashville area and Tennessee is pretty darn fun.
00;13;18;13 - 00;13;21;00
Makayla
Oh, I want to go so bad. You guys had the best time.
00;13;21;00 - 00;13;39;01
Joe
We had the best time. So my son, my middle son, Aiden, here at a birthday is pretty special one and his 21st birthday and he wanted to visit a friend of his there. And we had a blast. And it wasn't a lot of times like Broadway is the main strip there with all the honky tonk bars and the restaurants, this and that in the other.
00;13;39;03 - 00;14;00;15
Joe
But the whole town, it's just really culturally very cool, very open, very friendly, and really nothing negative to say about Nashville. It was really, really cool. And the fact that it made our top five as far as where people are going to was a little bit of a surprise to me. But I have a couple of friends of mine that have moved out there recently, so I guess I shouldn't be too, too surprised.
00;14;00;19 - 00;14;02;16
Makayla
Oh, that's cool. Looks like an awesome spot.
00;14;02;21 - 00;14;16;25
Joe
Yeah. So it's known for its music and entertainment scene, obviously. Right? Home of country music, but it also has a low cost of living and southern living lifestyle. I do love the southern living. It's just so mellow.
00;14;16;25 - 00;14;21;23
Makayla
It is? Yeah. I think it's different than what we're used to. Maybe that's why we like it so much.
00;14;21;23 - 00;14;33;21
Joe
But yeah, it's a little bit more matured on the West Coast. Feel things feel like they're new and vibrant and everything and down south that's they've been doing it that way for a long time.
00;14;33;24 - 00;14;34;12
Makayla
That's true.
00;14;34;16 - 00;14;57;03
Joe
They get it. It's slower, which can be good. So the cost of living in Nashville, 23% lower. So $73,000 compared to the same cost of living as what we live off of for 100,000 here, which is great. Median home price $447,000, 38% lower than us. I think that's because they've got it just got a lot more inventory.
00;14;57;09 - 00;15;00;26
Joe
So prices haven't spiked as much as they have out here on the West Coast.
00;15;00;27 - 00;15;04;27
Makayla
Interesting. Yeah. Are they building you think You think people are moving out?
00;15;04;28 - 00;15;18;17
Joe
There are so many neighborhoods in areas and small towns around Nashville that people can live in and feel like they have all the necessities and then make it into Nashville in 15 minutes.
00;15;18;23 - 00;15;20;04
Makayla
It's so nice. Yeah.
00;15;20;04 - 00;15;29;13
Joe
Oh yeah, that's pretty cool. A couple of the different costs that I thought were kind of interesting. Transportation costs 25% lower gas is just at three bucks a gallon.
00;15;29;13 - 00;15;30;04
Makayla
Wow.
00;15;30;07 - 00;15;30;22
Joe
Compared to what?
00;15;30;22 - 00;15;32;10
Makayla
We were living in the own place. I got a.
00;15;32;10 - 00;15;39;17
Joe
Question. How is it different? Why is it different out here than it is over there as it supply and demand? Are we getting gouged out here?
00;15;39;17 - 00;15;44;29
Makayla
What I think are getting gouged? I mean, think about where all the oil lines are, right, aren't they?
00;15;45;02 - 00;15;50;01
Joe
We should say you're getting gouged. I have an electric car, I have to admit.
00;15;53;29 - 00;15;57;09
Makayla
You can't even complain. You're never allowed to complain.
00;15;57;09 - 00;15;58;12
Joe
Complaining for you.
00;15;58;13 - 00;16;03;07
Makayla
Oh, okay. That you appreciate the support.
00;16;03;10 - 00;16;07;04
Joe
Yeah. Health care cost is also 15% lower.
00;16;07;07 - 00;16;07;27
Makayla
Okay.
00;16;07;29 - 00;16;15;23
Joe
Yeah. Which is one of those things that, you know, when you get to be my age Makayla, late eighties early nineties.
00;16;15;25 - 00;16;18;03
Makayla
It's.
00;16;18;06 - 00;16;39;05
Joe
You want to start thinking about I'm not kidding right now like some of the stuff I have to take because it's supposed to help me when I you know, I'm an older guy now and they make you take stuff that sounds weird like medicines to help you out and all that type of stuff. Yeah, yeah. It was horribly.
00;16;39;05 - 00;16;54;29
Joe
I used to stuff I used to remember my mom was in Florida. Florida has a pretty low health care cost and that she used to talk about that all the time. And I'm like, That's great. Mom, wonderful. And now here I am old, and I'm like, That's a pretty darn good deal. She's getting there.
00;16;54;29 - 00;16;58;27
Makayla
Yeah, that would be crazy to move somewhere because of that. But it could be a.
00;16;59;00 - 00;17;08;27
Joe
The fact that you're one of the top three or four factors if you're spending $1500 dollars a month or something on health care and this and that, you drop that by 15 to 20%. That's a big number.
00;17;08;29 - 00;17;12;27
Makayla
Yeah, that's true. Yeah. Okay. Okay. Number five last but not least.
00;17;12;28 - 00;17;23;23
Joe
Number five kind of was a shocker to me. Houston, Texas. Oh, Texas wasn't. But I thought people would be moving to like Austin or I don't know where.
00;17;23;26 - 00;17;25;16
Makayla
Yeah, I.Really honestly know anything about.
00;17;25;16 - 00;17;29;11
Joe
Houston. I've been through Houston's airport. They can do better.
00;17;30;07 - 00;17;36;16
Joe
They can do better. But that's been a while ago. In all fairness, I'm sure the airport's just fine now.
00;17;36;16 - 00;17;39;06
Makayla
I think you're going to get canceled over not liking Houston's airport.
00;17;39;06 - 00;17;46;15
Joe
Okay, We get letters, so I don't know, probably a couple of mad letters from Houston, people saying something about their the airport.
00;17;46;16 - 00;17;48;13
Makayla
I need to see these letters. Yeah.
00;17;48;16 - 00;17;55;27
Joe
So the booming jobs in oil and gas and medical research and aerospace and tech.
00;17;55;28 - 00;17;56;18
Makayla
Wow.
00;17;56;24 - 00;18;00;29
Joe
Yeah, I looked it up. I'm like, tell me more about why people are moving to Houston, for goodness sakes.
00;18;00;29 - 00;18;02;02
Makayla
Okay, that makes sense.
00;18;02;08 - 00;18;14;16
Joe
So big time jobs, really high paying jobs. Do medical research, cost of living, 27% lower. So you see the same cost of living. And all these places are way lower than Portland.
00;18;14;18 - 00;18;15;12
Makayla
Yeah, makes sense.
00;18;15;20 - 00;18;21;13
Joe
Makes sense, I guess. Median home price, 50% lower. Well than Portland.
00;18;21;16 - 00;18;22;10
Makayla
That's crazy.
00;18;22;11 - 00;18;26;00
Joe
Yeah. Three bedroom, two bath cost, $359,000 there.
00;18;26;04 - 00;18;26;17
Makayla
Wow.
00;18;26;20 - 00;18;39;03
Joe
I think my math off on that actually if if a32 cost 359,000 that would mean our median is 1780 It's not but it's 40 something percent lower. Well, I know that's amazing.
00;18;39;03 - 00;18;40;17
Makayla
Affordability density.
00;18;40;19 - 00;18;55;14
Joe
Transportation costs 23%, lower food, 14%, entertainment 15%. So Houston's got it, got it going on. It's a huge metro and I don't even know any of the neighborhoods around there. But cost of living wise and what you get for your buck down there is pretty impressive.
00;18;55;17 - 00;18;59;29
Makayla
Yeah. And if you're an aerospace engineer, it sounds like you have it mean. Yeah. You mention.
00;19;00;05 - 00;19;09;14
Joe
Yeah, medical research. That is the one area where I have heard people move from Portland to Houston is OHSU and Medical.
00;19;09;16 - 00;19;10;05
Makayla
Oh okay.
00;19;10;08 - 00;19;30;29
Joe
The thing that I would tell people about this topic, right? People are always looking at changing lifestyles, doing different things. And if you're thinking about making a move to a different area, give us a call or talk to your trusted real estate professionals because we really have a lot of different ways of getting information and data and we can help you out with that.
00;19;31;06 - 00;19;47;17
Joe
But more importantly, once you make a decision on your top two or three places, start looking. Go out there and take a look at what that area has to offer and get yourself aligned with a good professional broker who can help you find the right neighborhood, the right home for you, right?
00;19;47;17 - 00;19;48;28
Makayla
Great. Yeah.
00;19;49;00 - 00;20;03;21
Joe
We do. All the work for you on that. We interview the brokers. A lot of times we have people in place already. I can tell you from these areas we have people in Phoenix. I know brokers in South Carolina. Now we have brokers in Boise. Nashville. The only one I don't really have a connection with is Houston.
00;20;03;28 - 00;20;06;24
Makayla
But we would definitely interview people and help get that process started.
00;20;06;25 - 00;20;17;20
Joe
We would. So if you're looking to make a move or retire, you know, planning's everything. But also getting to know those communities is big and we can help you out with that. So we hope this has been helpful. Have you learned anything, Makayla?
00;20;17;20 - 00;20;22;25
Makayla
I did.
00;20;27;11 - 00;20;30;02
Joe
But my takeaway is I want to visit South Carolina.
00;20;30;04 - 00;20;31;04
Makayla
Yes.
00;20;31;06 - 00;20;33;11
Joe
Maybe when you're in Hawaii, I'll go to South Carolina.
00;20;33;11 - 00;20;35;00
Makayla
Okay. We'll be on opposite ends.
00;20;35;02 - 00;20;36;07
Joe
We could still do the part.
00;20;36;07 - 00;20;37;22
Makayla
We can. We'll find a way.
00;20;37;25 - 00;20;51;08
Joe
